Slumdoge Billionaire NFTs are here!
We know there are many in our community who have never purchased an NFT before so we’re going to make a series of tutorials to help. First up — METAMASK!
WHAT IS METAMASK?
Metamask is a browser based wallet that is the go-to crypto wallet for most Defi and NFT projects. Learning to use Metamask opens a whole world of new opportunities for many projects on many chains including ETH, BSC, MATIC and more Metamask is a lot like Trustwallet only you don’t purchase tokens directly. You need to transfer them in from your other wallets.
We wont be covering how to install and get set up with a wallet on Metamask because there are already lots of amazing tutorials out there including:

Today we’re focusing on how to purchase a Slumdoge Billionaire NFT using Metamask. So we are assuming you have installed your browser extension, created a wallet and sent at least 0.1 ETH to your new wallet to allow for any fluctuations in gas prices.
NOTE: Our screenshots have the advanced gas controls turned on. To do this please see the instructions at the very bottom of this article BEFORE you start the other steps.
STEP 1 — Head to our site
Head to https://www.slumdoges.com
Make sure the URL matches to avoid any potential bad actors.
STEP 2 — Find the MINT button.
You can either scroll down to see the MINT button or hit BUY in the menu.
STEP 3 — Initiate purchase
Frist, select the number of Slumdoge Billionaire NFTs you want to buy.
You can purchase a maximum of 10. The more you select, the higher the gas fee as these are being minted on demand.
Next, hit the MINT button which will bring a popup for you to select your wallet type. For this tutorial, select METAMASK
Step 4 — Connecting your wallet to our site.
Metamask will prompt you to connect your wallet to our website.
Ensure the correct wallet is selected (the one with enough the ETH to make the purchase) then hit NEXT.
The next screen tells you you are allowing our site to do. We are just performing a very basic connection to talk to your wallet. Hit the CONNECT button.
STEP 5 — Check
Here you will now confirm your purchase. This will show you the total amount of ETH you are spending which includes the gas fee (network transaction fee). By default this will go to the average Gas Price (GWEI).
Check the Gas Tracker website for the best gas price to use.
We recommend using the higher side which at the present network activity is 10–14 GWEI. Speeding up the transaction will cost a little more but the transaction will process faster. If you are happy to wait then you can stick with the average and not update any values.
Note: DO NOT adjust the ‘Gas Limit’. It is also not recommended to reduce the gas price this can lead to stuck or failed transactions.
ALSO: We have advanced gas controls enabled. See the steps at the end of this article for how to turn that on!
STEP 6 — Confirm Transaction
Hit the CONFIRM button as pictured above and your transaction will begin. Please wait as it may take a few minutes depending on your gas fee and the network.
Once it is confirmed you will see a popup from Metamask and also from our site.
STEP 7 — View your Slumdoge NFT on Opensea!
Now it’s time to check out which Slumdoge you scored!
Click the hypelinked OpenSea text under the MINT button.
This will take you to Opensea, the biggest NFT marketplace in the world and the place to check out all the info on your new Slumdoge Biillionaire NFT.
Just follow the prompts to connect your wallet and you will see the NFT that you hold in your account.
TRAITS — What makes your Slumdoge Unique?
Click your NFT in your profile and scroll past the Image and you will see a tab named PROPERTIES. If you hit this it will expand and show you your Slumdoge DNA — the unique combination of traits that only your Slumdoge NFT possesses.
These traits will soon show the percentage of each trait. Please understand that these will continue to update until all 10,000 Slumdoge NFTs are minted but there are some VERY rare traits and breeds to keep an eye out for!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: Learning to use a new wallet can be daunting but if you take time to learn the steps it will help you access lots of new exciting NFT projects and crypto apps. PLEASE remember never fill out any Google forms with your personal details and never give anyone your wallet keys. There are bad actors out there who will target your tweets if you post asking for help. Only ask trusted sources for help and you’ll be fine!
